We read wonderful books this morning, starting off the day with a great book on colors "Wow! Said the Owl". We have been learning lots about colors and will be doing many great art projects....the messy kind; mostly mixing primary colors to make secondary colors, using tissue paper, paint, glue, cornstarch, etc..... We are learning the 7 colors of the rainbow (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.
Later on, we all picked out an instrument to play and practiced marching around the room and being able to STOP when the music stopped! These kindergartners were just about perfect following directions! We were nice and loud also....loud enough for our door to get politely closed!!
We discussed "describing words" today, parts of trees, and read a couple of gross poems at lunch time!
Free choice time was fabulous.....I loved that the dramatic play area is filled with boys!!!!!!!
Our specialist today, PE....the best! They were playing "Zombie Tag"!
