Your students are working hard showing me what they know!  It really is wonderful assessing them and finding out how many new skills they have gained.  I have the smartest kindergartners on Bainbridge Island!!!!!!!

We continue to review what habits we have learned as great readers. Today we answered the questions about knowing yourself as a reader!

• Why is it important to find a quiet, well-lit place to read?
• What might happen if you just started reading a book without getting ready to red it?
• Why is it important to choose a book that's not too hard or easy?
• How will reading every day help you be a better reader?

I shared one of my favorite books..."Rain Makes Applesauce".  The kindergartners loved it!
