A HUGE thank you to all the parents who helped make our "Color Celebration" happen. The fruit, plates, napkins, drinks and of course skewers were perfect! And the 1 hour of colorful chaos was contained by our fabulous parent volunteers!
Picture day started right at 8:00 for us and went quite well. Can't wait to see the final results of the class photo. Your wonderful children did not need too many prompts to sit up straight and smile. So well trained!!!!
We will be starting to have parent volunteers after the conference week. I will get out a preliminary calendar and have you check it to see if I have you in the right slot. Thanks for all of your help!!!!
This busy, wonderful day just flew by......
Another busy kindergarten day! We read some more wonderful quilt books and I shared another quilt I was working on for that little grandchild who will soon be born. We had a really good discussion about shapes, colors and patterns while examining the quilt!
They worked hard during literacy jobs (still have a couple calling them "glitteracy jobs" - love that). When they are finished they can go to the "ABC Center" and play. Today they decided to make the area a real ABC center.....cute!
Today I felt very lucky.....ALL of my students were here!!!!!

PE teaches us many important life skills...
A wonderful day was had by all!!! The results to our "Name Survey" are coming in! Did I mention that we are asking EVERYONE IN THE ENTIRE SCHOOL to write down his or her name and we are going to graph it under the number of letters in each name!!!! Does that sound like fun! We will be very busy mathematicians!

We are reading lots of books about QUILTS!
During math we made paper quilts using purple and orange, which happen to be my favorite colors. I shared with the students that they could go to Esters' Fabrics on Winslow Way and see a purple and orange quilt I made!!!!
We went out for two VERY wet recesses and spent the last one inside doing some extra free-choice. Thank you for sending coats with hoods...we will be going out even if it is pouring!!!
