Friday, Already??

We had a great day!  These fabulous kindergartens got right into the routine.  We started off the day going to an all-school assembly where we learned LOTS of rules.  It was hard to sit there but we enjoyed the little vignettes about the Blakely 3 R's - RESPONSIBLE, RESPECTFUL and REASONABLE.

We read some wonderful books today.  I always like to give you the link to Amazon, not to suggest you BUY the book but just in case you want to take a look at it so you can discuss it with your child.  Our favorites were; "Is Your Buffalo Ready for Kindergarten?" and "Wemberly Worried".


We will be starting our Science unit on "Trees".  It's always fun tromping around the playground learning all about them!  This is the tree we "adopt" and watch all year.  And it's right outside our window!

A large packet of paper came home today, including important emergency information and a lunch menu.  I promise you that most items will go home electronically!  If your child is buying lunch please help them remember what choice they want.


This is a wonderful class.....I can't wait until I can post photos.  I will be checking with you about that on Wednesday evening!
