Sunny Tuesday!

A beautiful day!  This kindergarten class is functioning like a well-oiled machine.  It's so nice when they get most of the routines down - remember when you passed some of those self-help milestones like your child being able to buckle their own seat belt?  It's like that for a kindergarten teacher - it's so nice when they aren't asking you to figure things out for them - when they discover they have the information and skills to do it themselves!  Pretty amazing when you count up the years they have been on this planet!  Love these kindergartners!!!!!

We discussed concepts of print that words are separated by spaces!  Ask them about "Spaghetti and Meatballs"..

We are working on patterns in math.  Rainbow Goldfish Crackers were perfect for us to practice patterns during snack time!

In Science we continue our tree study.  This week we are focusing on LEAVES.  We played a fun matching game with our table group friends.

We had a emergency bus-evacuation drill today, which went very smoothly!

We are reading wonderful books..."Fly Away Katie", "Red Green Blue", "Follow Me", "Kitten Red Yellow Blue", "Lemons Are Not Red"
and "Poetrees".
