Tuesday!

For Language Arts we are working on PLOT...the beginning, middle and ending of stories, using the contents page in a nonfiction book, reading print from top to bottom, using science words and applying prior knowledge to nonfiction topics.  We are reading more Goldilocks and the Three Bear books and they are getting weirder and weirder and we LOVE it!!!  Tomorrow we will make "Mamma Bear's Porridge Cookies"!

For Math we learned how to play a new game using pennies and practiced recognizing pennies and nickels by name and value, counting quantities to 20, exploring counting strategies, and comparing quantities.

For writing we are practicing using words ending in "ing" in our journals, using connecting words (and), and using punctuation.
